A message from AIPFE for International Women's Day 2023 - March 8th
As we celebrate International Women's Day, it's important to acknowledge the challenges that women face in the digital world.
This year’s theme ‘Cracking the Code’ underlines that access to inclusive digital technologies and education is critical. The pandemic has accelerated the shift to online platforms, exacerbating the digital gender gap and widening economic and social inequalities.
Women are less likely to have access to digital tools and resources, making it harder for them to participate fully in the digital economy. This is particularly true for women in developing countries and marginalized and rural communities. AIPFE is committed to empowering women in politics and the economy, and we believe that bridging the digital gender gap is essential to achieving this goal.
By providing women with the digital skills and resources they need, we can create a more inclusive and equitable world. This International Women’s Day let's recommit ourselves to the fight for gender equality in the digital age.
