AIPFE members and friends gathered at Athalassa park on 19th March for a 3km #PowerWalk in a commitment to break the gender bias. We walked the talk and spoke about a world free of bias and discrimination, a world where difference is valued and celebrated.
The event concluded with networking and refreshments, kindly sponsored by Presse Café!
#breakthebias is important because:
- It does not just involve women, men are affected too
- Biases influence judgment when we implement policies at work, when we take decisions around career paths, in the way in which younger generations are raised
- Gender biases cause limitations on capacity of both women and men to develop their personal and professional skills, and to take important life decisions
