Xenia Xenofontos has a medical background and is a Certified IAIM Infant Massage Instructor.
She has been working in the media industry for the past 15 years, where she held the positions of Executive Producer in two television programs, Editor at Time Out Cyprus Magazine, as well as a local newspaper. Between 2009 to 2012 she acted as Editor in Chief of the scientific “Cyprus Health Journal”. Between 2012 to 2016 she was the Director of Sigmalive.com news portal, and as of 2017, she holds the position of Media Director of Digital Tree e-Publishers.
Xenia is one of the founders of ‘Thermokoitida Agapis’, an NGO which promotes Prematurity Awareness and supports parents in the NICU of Makario Hospital. She acted as President of the organization between 2012 to 2017, and currently acts as Vice-President. She is also involved in the groups developing the European Standards of Care for Newborns, under the umbrella of EFCNI.
Xenia is a member of Lean In Nicosia. Her motivation in life is driven by a constant passion to learn new things, evolve as a person and offer as much knowledge and support as possible to youth, especially young women. She believes in change and the power of trust in other people as well as life itself.
